About the Owner and Company
Hi, my name is Rachel. I am a 23-soon-to-be 24-year-old gal born and raised in rural Bloomsdale, Missouri. I've got three beautiful rescue horses, a blue heeler mutt that I love with my whole heart, and a yard full of mini raptors (chickens) that may or may not be contributing to an ongoing addiction to chick rearing and picking up strays.
After working in retail for over five years for companies that provided vastly differing delivery services, I subsequently fell into the trap of “convenience” these companies offered to make my farming life easier. From TSC online delivery to Walmart Plus and InstaCart, I've tried them all, and quickly realized just how few companies provided quality, non-third-party services to local farmers and rural residents of Missouri for a realistic, affordable price--if they even offered it at all! Like a lot of people, I quickly became frustrated that there weren't any services tailored to my specific needs for a reasonable price that serviced my local area. Then of course the few that did ended up nearly tripling my bill! What was initially a sixty-dollar delivery became a seventy-dollar delivery when the delivery service changed the store's prices, then that seventy-dollar delivery had a tax, subscription, or express fee tacked on and before I knew it, I was paying nearly twenty extra dollars before they even tacked on the actual delivery fee! Then of course don't even get me started on the number of deliveries that ended up "lost" or damaged because we all know some folks just don't care which porch they're dropping off at or just how they drop the items off. So long as they get paid, right? ​
So after hundreds of dollars lost to third-party companies, items gone missing from my orders, hundreds of broken feed bags, busted up buckles, and even just a plain lack of a delivery option, I had enough. Thus, Feed Queens was born.
What's Our Mission?
Feed Queens Farm Delivery Service is here to offer an alternative, locally ran delivery service to the people of Herculaneum, Festus, Hillsboro, De Soto, and Bloomsdale, Missouri. Currently we are a single-woman ran service, so our delivery radius isn't very large nor are our hours very long, but as soon as we are up and running we have full intentions to broaden our delivery radiuses and hire like-minded employees to ensure the people who need us most, get the services they deserve, because we all know the true backbone of America, are people just like you.
How Does Our Delivery Service Work?
When shopping at any of our serviced retailers, you will complete checkout as a pickup order.

Now, I can practically see you scratching your head asking, “Rachel, if I put my order in as a pickup order, how will it get delivered if the store is expecting me to be there to pick it up?”

Well, here’s the part that helps us circumvent those pesky upticks in prices from the third party services and your chosen retailers. In the pickup section, you will put our information for the Pickup Person. Don’t worry, we provide the stores with our I.D’s just as we do with you! Once our identity is verified by the store, they will release the items and badabing-badaboom, we're loaded up and on the road heading straight to you.
